Week 2: Day 4 NIGHT

OKAY. LAST DAY OF OCTOBER. HOW DID WE GET THIS FAR?!




First off: Thanks to all of you who have inspired and encouraged me thus far. 

I love when I'm able to overcome my feelings of "ugh I don't want to" and "maybe not tonight" and just say NO RACHEL YOU ARE GOING TO THE GYM NO EXCUSES. And so I went :)


Tonight's Body Pump was awesome! The reps and workouts are getting easier and I was able to go harder and go longer. Body pump focuses on legs, arms, abs, shoulders, chest, glutes, and pretty much EVERYTHING else it feels like, haha.



I am going to make an appointment for a massage next week, and also probably a chiropractor because my shoulder and hip pop (lol not hip hop) and it is painful sometimes. I don't think this is healthy haha and it is sort of interfering with how much I want to PUSH MYSELF!!!

But on a more positive note... Tonight I burned another 300 in cardio (elliptical, bike, rowing, and tread) in addition to Body Pump... I feel good! I knew that I would. It actually feels amazing to look back and go 'wow that small amount of time was such a large investment in my health!'





I don't have Halloween plans, but I'm okay with that. I went to No Frills and got a few basic essentials.



I just had a wrap (spinach, chicken slices x4, green pepper, red onion, avocado, hot sauce, berry dressing) and 2 eggs (since I missed out this morning). I also had 2 cookies (Chips Ahoy) as a reward and because it's Halloween, for pete's sake!


Now to shower, then play some music and then watch a movie and slowly simmer down into bedtime hours.

Had some froyo again before bed, with a banana and some almonds.

Week 2: Day 4

Woke up at 10 am. Got myself some delicious coffee and a smoothie for breakfast. Had a bit of nasi goreng rice for lunch.



Here is my progress so far... Ain't much, but I feel so good! 






Noticing some minor definition changes and inches lost. Less chin fat and face fat.

Had an apple and a sucker and one candy today. It's halloween after all.


I am heading to the gym for body pump 5:30-6:30, with 1/2 hour of cardio after!!!

Week 2: Day 3

Well today was an adventure to say the least. Morning full of passport fun. But I won't bore you with the details.


Woke up late so I didn't have time for breakfast. Grabbed an apple in the car and as of now, I'm sooooo hungry. Ugh!


Breakfast: 2 eggs, 1 smoothie (pineapple, banana, strawberry, peaches).

I have class 2pm-4pm.I will be having hummus and carrots with my delicious water, in class.

I am heading to Body Pump from 5pm-6pm tonight.



I just finished Body Pump... 50 minutes of intense pumpin. Also burned 100 calories before, and now followed by elliptical for another 100 calories, biking for 50, rowing for 25, and finishing off with a run for as long as I can go!!!


Ended up with a total burn of 300 calories tonight, on top of the 500-600 I burned during body pump. Almost 1000 calories today!!! Awesome :)


Feeling good!

I love looking down at my tattoo as a reminder that I CAN DO IT IF I HAVE FAITH IN MYSELF AND IN GOD.

Bikeride later tonight, around the block, maybe 2km :) 

BRING ON THE FISH AND RICE AND BEANS AND SALAD AND SWEET POTATO!
Beans: boiled and cooked in water, then lightly sautteed with hot sauce, cinnamon, and some apple juice.
Fish: tilapia with oatmeal and breading with hotsauce
Salad: spinach and mixed greens with sunflower seeds, avocado, red onion, green pepper, and mixed berry dressing
Sweet potato: cooked in the oven with extra virgin olive oil
Rice: basmati rice with nasi goreng seasonings

I had a great day!!!

Now enjoying a bit of froyo and pumpkin spice tea while watching SOMETHING BORROWED, talking to a really amazing and nice guy, and now watching SUPER FUN NIGHT before turning in.

Week 2: Day 2

Good morning!

Today is a beautiful day. I was actually able to wake up at 8am, and finish my paper by 11am.

I drove to class with my brother. In class today: apple and seeds and almonds.

Ended up hanging out with some new friends some class tonight! Had a blast, with a homecooked Mexican meal.

Snack: apple


Dinner: wrap with chicken and veggies, hummus and carrots and a few triscuit crackers, and tostitoes with beef and veggies. Shoutout to Christina!!!:)




Now free coffee from McDonald's :) small with 1 sweetener.

Now to go inside and chill after a long day, but it was productive and fun!!!

I watched biggest loser and had a light wrap, with veggies and chicken.

Random Blurb Not Related to Fitness

Okay! So I really have a procrastination problem... I am going to sleep now, and plan to wake up at 8, have breakfast while watching Spongebob, and from 9am-11:30am straight work on my assignment.

  • Goals (briefly created, just need to fill in with strategies and ensure they are SMART, and relate to the who, what, when, where, and how questions)
    It is 10% of my overall grade, so I hope it goes okay! :)

    I just seriously can't think tonight. Whatever.

    Sidenote: RANDOM HEADACHES. I seriously never get headaches, except for recently. Weird.
