Hey all!
Okay so it's 2014 and I was sitting here watching Biggest Loser and thinking to myself "yo I haven't blogged in ages", and so here I am!
Since Christmas, I've been back in the swing of things, still trying to eat healthy and stay focused. Upon coming back to London after Christmas, I went to the gym 3 days out of 6 before I left for...
THE CARIBBEAN!
I'm currently in St. George, Grenada, Caribbean and absolutely LOVING LIFE.
Groceries here are kind of expensive, so I've been eating mostly salad, ramen noodles, apples, bread, bananas, and eggs. I've also been out to eat a few times, but I am trying to be conscious of what I take in. I've also been drinking copious amounts of water on a daily basis, because like, I'll get dehydrated and die if I don't...
I've also been getting exercise! Lots of walking, and swimming!
Also I just did something really exciting... I bought the BODYMEDIA FIT LINK WEIGHT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM! It comes with an armband to track pretty much everything I need to know. I used my Christmas money to buy it, and have no regrets! It is just another investment in my health, and I'm excited to see how it will help me: BodyMedia Fit Link
It pairs with the Iphone and multiple apps :)
I look forward to weighing in after I get back from my trip, and working towards 160 pounds this year!
So I hope you will continue to keep reading because I'm excited for what 2014 has in store!
Love you all! <3

Some thoughts...
Well today I just feel like I need to do a "thoughts" blog...
I'm really happy with myself that I've been able to keep up with my blog daily. Having accountability keeps me motivated and determined!

I feel like people need to know they are beautiful. I feel like we need to just tell people more often. Saying something as simple as "you like nice today" or "looking good this morning" to someone can boost their confidence and self esteem and set the pace and mood for their day.
Not creating a world of narcisistic self-obsessed ego-maniacs, but rather just being positive and encouraging.
Telling someone they are beautiful or handsome does not always have to be connotated with "omg they like me" or "omg im scared to say that because what will they think". We live in such a materialistic world, where people always think to themselves that how they look expresses who they are. But really, it's how we look inside, and also how we feel inside, that gets spread to the world like wild fire. It doesn't have to be about "clothes" or "hair" or "makeup". Telling someone they look happy, or telling them that they seem confident is a good thing. I am going to start. Consider it a good deed for the day, because making others feel good will make you feel good as well!

Being aware of calories is motivation not to eat that particular thing. For instance, a 300 calorie snack = 25 to 30 minutes of cardio to work off. Worth it? Maybe not. Maybe cutting calories in half for snacks would be more worth it, time saving, and healthier.
Be aware of sugar content!!! Some things that seem healthy have a lot of sugar. Some sugars are better than others, but are still sugars. Check sugar content and decide if it is worth it, in the long run.
Be aware of water!!! Whether it is coming into your body or coming out (sweat or urination) you need to stay hydrated. I always have a full water bottle around in visible sight.

Be aware of small changes!!! Losing weight and feeling healthy does not just need to be about massive results. Validate the little things, and this will just reinforce what you are working towards!!! Realizing that your jeans slip off your hips a little easier, or your "muffin top" is a little less apparent now is a great way to stay self-motivated. Even if it is only your psyche and not actually as much of a change as you think it is, do not feel defeated, but rather use this as fuel!!!

Day 7. The Lowdown Week 1 Throwdown.
10am:
I am on my way to Chatham now for the day :) Anticipating a few fun hours, though it is quite cold!!!
Brekky 9am: This morning for breakfast I was running a bit late so I just made a smoothie (2 banana, 6 strawberries, and a chunk of pineapple) and now have my pumpkin spice tea. I also had 2 little timbits from tim horton's from the 6 I bought franklin... Yeah I shouldn't have.
Lunchtimes 12pm: I had a whole wheat, toasted, lettuce and bacon and chicken sandwich from Tim Horton's.
1:15-1:40pm: Walk with Frank and Carys
Schnack 3pm: Had a chocolate pudding and some alphagetti pasta noodle nastiness for lunch, with a handful of almonds too and pumpkin spice tea. Regrets: the noodles. I can never regret a 70 calorie pudding, in all it's deliciousness with slow meaningful bites.
5:30pm DinDinz: For supper, tortellini with pasta sauce.
6pm: On my way home, enjoying the sunset, and having a large Tim Horton's coffee.
Arrival at home: 8:30pm
Confession of the Day: Soooooo last night I actually did NOT end up working out in the basement, because my brother needed help with an assignment, and I ended up driving him and his friends to Timmy's and chilling.
My issue: I currently have a pretty bad headache. I am hoping it goes away. My tum tum feels a little queasy as well, THEREFORE TONIGHT I WILL BIKE FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE MOVIE. I will get my ab workout in via laughter because lezbeehonest, everyone laughs at Anchorman. I can't wait for the second one!!!
Gunna chuggalug some water like it's my life source (oh wait, it is) and get my burn on. Then I will be showering and heading to bed.
ADDITION: I ended up only biking 40 minutes because my headache was really bad. As the blood started pumping more it was really aggravating me. I biked at a mild-moderate pace for the whole time. I also did a few pushups for good measure. I am showered and feel a bit better. Going to relax for 15-20 more minutes, and then head to bed.
I anticipate my feeling better in the morning, and I'll be up and at Body Pump for 9:30, pumpin' like it's hotttt when really it will most likely be cold. I will also do 10-15 minutes of additional cardio before going home. I should be back by 11, and have class at 2.
SOMETHING TO CHECK OUT: Pure Coconut Oil... It is 100% pure and 100% amazing... For skin, hair, teeth, removing makeup, and even cooking! Recommend you check it out. It smells amazing. Like a tropical salon all day erry day.
HAPPY LAST WEEK OF OCTOBER, EVERYONE :)

The Night of Day 6.
Well day 6 has come to an end and tomorrow is the last day of my first official week of working out and getting back on track!
Gentlemen... ;)
Tonight I had some minor chips in a bowl, but then decided against eating them, and only had 3 chips total, and gave the rest to the boy I was babysitting.
I did, however, have a gingerale. Which I know 'don't drink your calories' and honestly I already wish I hadn't.
I did have a banana and I also have a green apple I am saving for later.
When I get home, I plan to put on a movie (probably Anchorman) in the basement on my brother's XBOX and workout while I watch it. It will be chill, and glorious, and I will get a good workout in. I plan to do 30 minutes on the bike, and then 20 minutes on the elliptical.
Thanks Ron, I'm working on it.
After which, I will shower and get to bed, because tomorrow is action-packed fun with Franklin! My favourite 3 year old friend!
Tomorrow I am babysitting 10-7:30 so it will be a long day. I am hoping for good weather and the opportunity to go to the park and have some fun. I am going home for the day too, so I will have my sisters with me and that will be nice. I was hoping to get a workout in tomorrow at Goodlife, but it is only open until 8, so that doesn't leave me much time. Therefore I will just do another home workout, and some P90X abripper and that should suffice for day 7.

Day 6
Yeaaaah day 6! Almost 1 week and feeling good :)
Feeling the good vibes!!!
Just now had some salad and sweet potato fries for a lunch-dinner kinda thing.
When I go to babysit I will bring a green apple and a banana, along with some seeds and almonds:
I will probably babysit from 6-10ish, and when I come home I will get in my workout gear and head to the basement for some movie time while on my bike (30 minutes) and my elliptical (20 minutes)..
Right now I will be doing some pushups and crunches and squats and jumping jacks.
S'all for now!!!
