Week 2: Day 1 NIGHT

Okay so I didn't end up biking to class because I was planning to bike and leave at 4:40 for my 5pm class. However 2 minutes prior, I got a credit card phonecall and had to talk to them for 10 minutes, and ended up just driving.

It's 7:30 now and I am home from class unexpectedly early.

I will be going inside, getting changed, and heading to the gym until 8:30.

In class tonight we played 'MOVE YOUR BUTT' so I got a fraction of exercise in while playing it... MOVE YOUT BUTT IF YOU NEED TO MOVE YOUR BUTT MORE OFTEN!!!

I went to Goodlife tonight, even though I felt cruddy, but ended up feeling so good afterwards! When they say YOU NEVER REGRET A WORKOUT they are definitley right... I feel great! I burned 400 calories tonight, on the elliptical, bike, rowing machine, and treadmill (brisk walk, then 1 minute sprint).

I came home and had some more chicken noodle soup (low cal, low sodium), another full water bottle, and a tiny bit of froyo (1/2 cup) to reward myself for a good day.

I am now watching HIMYM new episode from tonight, and will then start my assignment for Documentation entitled 'Goals and Strengths' that is worth 10% of my grade. I anticipate finishing by 2am. Class is at 12pm tomorrow, so I will definitely get it done in time.

Yes, I procrastinate, in case you weren't aware.

I am hoping to make it in for a bit of a cardio workout (15 minutes), and then body-attack 5:30-6:30 tomorrow. Afterwards, movie night at a friend's place with some people from my program!

Thank you to all my encouragers and supporters thus far.

Week 2: Day 1

Okay... I woke up this morning, and suffice it to say I'll be "sick" for the next 5-7 days. So I am taking it easy today.

This morning for breakfast: smoothie (banana, strawberry, pineapple, almonds), coffee (4 cups worth) and 2 eggs.

I am really looking forward to the day when I have less throat/neck fat! Here is an awesome link: http://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Neck-Fat It is very encouraging.

I really miss Goodlife. 2 days of not being there, I really can't wait to go back.

Here is a funny article from Buzzfeed: http://www.buzzfeed.com/adamellis/types-of-people-you-find-in-every-gym It is all about the kind of people you find in the gym... so true!

For lunch: wrap (spinach, avocado, 3 slices of turkey meat, roasted red pepper hummus, the last of my feta cheese, some red onion and green pepper, and lime/chipotle dressing) and chicken noodle soup (low sodium, low calories).

I did a bit of cleaning today as a distraction... Being happy and healthy can be undertaken in multiple ways!

I have also come up with some other ways to use my time effectively: doing leg raises in my bed, or crunches in my bed. Doing squats while I watch a tv show. Playing music/listening to music/writing music and songs. Planning and organizing my day.

Thank you to my friend Caitlin for reminding me the importance of getting cardio in every day!!! You are an inspiration to me little fackle :)
Before:

As of August, 2013:

Thumbs up for kicking some serious ass!

Where we were, we will never be again. Where we are going, folks? The future is ours to decide.

Tonight I have class 5-8pm... MONDAYS KILLIN ME SMALLS.
I will bring apple slices, sunflower seeds, and almonds with me, as well as my water bottle.

When I get home, I will head to the gym for 45 minutes of treadmill, bike, and elliptical.

Day 7. The Lowdown Week 1 Throwdown.

10am:

I am on my way to Chatham now for the day :) Anticipating a few fun hours, though it is quite cold!!!

Brekky 9am: This morning for breakfast I was running a bit late so I just made a smoothie (2 banana, 6 strawberries, and a chunk of pineapple) and now have my pumpkin spice tea. I also had 2 little timbits from tim horton's from the 6 I bought franklin... Yeah I shouldn't have.

Lunchtimes 12pm: I had a whole wheat, toasted, lettuce and bacon and chicken sandwich from Tim Horton's.

1:15-1:40pm: Walk with Frank and Carys

Schnack 3pm: Had a chocolate pudding and some alphagetti pasta noodle nastiness for lunch, with a handful of almonds too and pumpkin spice tea. Regrets: the noodles. I can never regret a 70 calorie pudding, in all it's deliciousness with slow meaningful bites.

5:30pm DinDinz: For supper, tortellini with pasta sauce.

6pm: On my way home, enjoying the sunset, and having a large Tim Horton's coffee.

Arrival at home: 8:30pm

Confession of the Day: Soooooo last night I actually did NOT end up working out in the basement, because my brother needed help with an assignment, and I ended up driving him and his friends to Timmy's and chilling.

My issue: I currently have a pretty bad headache. I am hoping it goes away. My tum tum feels a little queasy as well, THEREFORE TONIGHT I WILL BIKE FOR THE ENTIRETY OF THE MOVIE. I will get my ab workout in via laughter because lezbeehonest, everyone laughs at Anchorman. I can't wait for the second one!!!

Gunna chuggalug some water like it's my life source (oh wait, it is) and get my burn on. Then I will be showering and heading to bed.

ADDITION: I ended up only biking 40 minutes because my headache was really bad. As the blood started pumping more it was really aggravating me. I biked at a mild-moderate pace for the whole time. I also did a few pushups for good measure. I am showered and feel a bit better. Going to relax for 15-20 more minutes, and then head to bed.

I anticipate my feeling better in the morning, and I'll be up and at Body Pump for 9:30, pumpin' like it's hotttt when really it will most likely be cold. I will also do 10-15 minutes of additional cardio before going home. I should be back by 11, and have class at 2.

SOMETHING TO CHECK OUT: Pure Coconut Oil... It is 100% pure and 100% amazing... For skin, hair, teeth, removing makeup, and even cooking! Recommend you check it out. It smells amazing. Like a tropical salon all day erry day.

HAPPY LAST WEEK OF OCTOBER, EVERYONE :)

Day 5. Already :)

Okay y'all! 5 days in, and feeling pretty good :)

I have received some pretty great marks at school this week!!! So yeah, I am loving Fanshawe.

sidenote: GO STEELERS

I have made the decision (which is usually difficult for me cuz I suck at making decisions) to cut out pretty much all wheat and gluten based foods and carbs. I will subject myself to one wrap (whole wheat) per day but that is all. Life's betta without breada!

Seriously... Studies show that bread and wheat items make you more tired, and don't process quickly if you aren't burning them off.But here's the thing... I have half a loaf of bread that ain't gone green round the edges yet so every other day I'ma eat 1 piece until it's gone. Then I won't buy any more!As well, I have 5 packs of instant basmati rice (mmmmm) left so I'll eat that up.

Let's get real for a second here. I'm a student aka limited $$$ scrill moola dolla bills yo, so I can't just be like "im gettin rid of all the bad stuff in my house, garbage bag partyyyy". No I'll eat it cuz I PAID FOR IT. And I guess I'll just pay for it in other ways too (know what I'm sayinnnn?)

People say that HEALTH is not a joke. This is problematic for me because most things in my life are a joke.

Okay okay. Onto Day 5...

CONFESSION: sleep won this morning

I plannnnnned to wake up at 8:45 to get to the gym for 9:30. But I woke up with still sore muscles from 2 days ago (is this shiz normal?!) and my room was cold.

I KNOW IT SOUNDS LIKE EXCUSES, but no worries. I will let my body rest up for a bit, and will still bike to class and back (aka 2km for the whole there-and-back-again trip). I have class 2-6pm straight, and will then bike home and then ensure I get to the gym. I want to do 20 minutes of elliptical, then 10 minutes walking on treadmill, then weights for however long it takes to do 2 reps of 10 on each machine) and then 10 minutes on the bike, then finally ending my burn with 5 hard minutes on the rowing machine (which pumps your heart way up) and 2 minutes of cooldown walking on the treadmill.

I feel like that will accomplish a lot and I am actually super looking forward to it. Also I heard of a new class called AWESOME ABS on Thursdays that I want to try out.

I'm currently watching Parenthood and getting ready for class.

BREAKFAST WAS THE USUAL (coffee, smoothie, 2 eggs). Some people hate repetition but I look forward to it!!!

Okay that's all for now... Catch ya on the flip side!!!
